A low grade, indolent B-cell lymphoma, usually associated with Helicobacter pylori infection. Morphologically it is characterized by a dense mucosal atypical lymphocytic (centrocyte-like cell) infiltrate with often prominent lymphoepithelial lesions and plasmacytic differentiation. Approximately 40% of gastric MALT lymphomas carry the t(11;18)(q21;q21). Such cases are resistant to Helicobacter pylori therapy.
Biomarker and diagnostic research for gastric mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma has been reported in the published literature.
5 clinical trials registered. Interventions under study include drug therapy, other interventions, procedural interventions, and biologic therapy. Pipeline includes 3 PHASE2, 1 EARLY_PHASE1. Research is primarily sponsored by academic and government institutions.

A case report details the diagnosis of pulmonary marginal zone B-cell lymphoma of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue using radial probe endobronchial ultrasound-guided biopsy. This highlights a novel diagnostic approach for a rare lymphoma subtype.
A case report details a patient with double-hit primary high-grade gastric B-cell lymphoma, presenting with pancytopenia and atraumatic back pain. This case contributes to the understanding of the clinical manifestations of this rare lymphoma subtype.
