By accessing or using Kisho at kishomed.io ("the Service", "the Platform"), operated by Kisho ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, subscribers, and organizations accessing the Platform.
Kisho is a rare disease intelligence platform that aggregates, synthesizes, and delivers information from 12+ authoritative data sources across 10,888+ diseases. The Service includes, but is not limited to:
Kisho offers multiple subscription tiers. All tiers are available to all user types, including individuals, organizations, and companies:
Discounted pricing is available for verified 501(c)(3) nonprofits, academic institutions, and patient advocacy organizations. Eligibility is determined during checkout and may require verification. Nonprofit pricing does not change your subscription tier or feature access; it applies a discount to the standard tier pricing.
Professional plans may include a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan and you will be billed at the applicable rate. You may cancel your trial at any time before it expires.
All payments are processed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly or annual basis depending on the plan you selected. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to your paid tier features until the end of your current billing period, after which your account will revert to the Free tier. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods.
To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. By creating an account, you agree to:
You may not share your account credentials with others or allow multiple individuals to use a single account. Workspace team member seats are provided for authorized multi-user access within your subscription tier limits.
Kisho uses artificial intelligence to generate disease reports, news summaries, policy briefings, intelligence signals, and other content. AI-generated content is derived from authoritative biomedical data sources and is fact-checked against source data. However, AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You should independently verify any information before relying on it.
AI-generated disease reports are synthesized from multiple databases including MONDO, OMIM, Orphanet, HPO, ClinicalTrials.gov, FDA, PubMed, ClinVar, ClinGen, GeneReviews, HGNC, and Congress.gov. Reports undergo automated fact-checking and quality review, but they are not reviewed by human medical professionals before publication. Reports may not reflect the most recent research or clinical developments.
Workspace AI editing tools (Validate, Simplify, Elaborate, and Cite) process user-highlighted text through AI models to provide validation assessments, simplified language, expanded content, and citation suggestions. The output of these tools is AI-generated and should be reviewed for accuracy before use. The Validate tool provides confidence scores that represent the AI model's assessment, not a definitive determination of accuracy.
News articles are curated from third-party sources and may be categorized, summarized, or tagged by AI systems. Policy tracking content reflects AI classification of legislative activity. We do not guarantee the completeness, timeliness, or accuracy of AI-processed news or policy content.
The information provided through Kisho, including AI-generated disease reports, clinical trial data, publication summaries, drug information, and all other content, is for informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Information about drugs, treatments, clinical trials, or genetic variants should not be used to make medical decisions without consulting a qualified healthcare provider. Drug market status information (including withdrawn or discontinued designations) is provided for awareness purposes and should be confirmed with authoritative regulatory sources. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health professional with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.
Patient Advocacy Groups and other organizations registering on Kisho agree to:
We reserve the right to revoke verification status or restrict organizational features if we determine that the information provided is inaccurate or the organization does not meet our eligibility criteria.
Kisho provides embeddable disease information widgets for use on third-party websites, subject to your subscription tier limits.
