An adenocarcinoma that arises from the ovary and is characterized by the presence of malignant epithelial cells that, in well differentiated tumors, resemble the epithelium of the fallopian tube or, in poorly differentiated tumors, show anaplastic features and marked nuclear atypia.
Biomarker and diagnostic research for ovarian serous adenocarcinoma has been reported in the published literature.
36 clinical trials registered, 8 recruiting. Interventions under study include drug therapy, other interventions, biologic therapy, and procedural interventions. Pipeline includes 5 PHASE3, 12 PHASE2, 12 PHASE1. Research is sponsored by a mix of industry and academic institutions.
