Diseases characterized by injury or dysfunction involving multiple peripheral nerves and nerve roots. The process may primarily affect myelin or nerve axons. Two of the more common demyelinating forms are acute inflammatory polyradiculopathy (guillain-barre syndrome) and polyradiculoneuropathy, chronic inflammatory demyelinating. Polyradiculoneuritis refers to inflammation of multiple peripheral nerves and spinal nerve roots.
Biomarker and diagnostic research for polyradiculoneuropathy has been reported in the published literature.
21 clinical trials registered, 12 recruiting. Interventions under study include drug therapy, biologic therapy, other interventions, and medical devices. Pipeline includes 5 PHASE3, 3 PHASE2, 2 PHASE1. Research is sponsored by a mix of industry and academic institutions.
