A malignant germ cell tumor arising from the testis. It is believed that it is derived from the sexually undifferentiated embryonic gonad. Treatment with radiotherapy is highly successful when the tumor is diagnosed in localized stages, which represents the majority of presentations of seminoma.
Biomarker and diagnostic research for testicular seminoma has been reported in the published literature.
Estimated prevalence: Unknown (Unknown prevalence).
22 clinical trials registered, 10 recruiting. Interventions under study include procedural interventions, drug therapy, other interventions, and biologic therapy. Pipeline includes 3 PHASE3, 9 PHASE2, 1 PHASE1. Research is primarily sponsored by academic and government institutions.
